Nick Clegg, Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of the Liberal Democrats in Great Britain Stands Up For……American Style Freedoms! – Where Are American Leaders Standing Up For Freedom and Liberty in America? – We Certainly Don’t See or Hear Them! – Nick Clegg Sounds Like Thomas Jefferson or even…Winston Churchill! – In the New World Our Leaders Are Letting the Wall Street Bastards and Companies Like BP Run Wild With the American People Taking It In the Back – Yes, That Seems to be Working Out Well!

Just to show how out of control the United States Federal Government is today, it takes the leader of the Liberal Democrats and member of new Coalition Government in Great Britain, Nick Clegg, to lead the way on the Importance of Freedom in a modern Democratic society.

Nick Clegg in an Op-Ed in The Telegraph lays out a set of principles that Elected Leaders of all stripes in America should be proclaiming, but all the Buffoons in Washington DC do is argue with each other over nothing while the “Neutered Media” is little more than a part of and willing participants in these Idiots foolishness.

Your Freedom:  Britain’s liberty is at stake – it is time to have your say

Nick Clegg, Deputy Prime Minister of Great Britain:

“During their 13 years in power, the Labour Government developed a dangerous reflex. Faced with whatever problem, legislation increasingly became the standard response. Something needs fixing? Let’s pass a new law.

And so, over the last decade, thousands of new rules and regulations have amassed on the statute book. And it is our liberty that has paid the price. Under the cover of pretending to act in our best interest, the state has crept further and further into people’s homes and their private lives. That intrusion is disempowering. It needs to change.

The Coalition Government is determined to restore great British freedoms. Major steps have been taken already. ID cards have been halted. Plans are underway to restrict the storage of innocent people’s DNA. Schools will no longer be able to take children’s fingerprints without their parents consent.

But we need to do more. The culture of state snooping has become so ingrained that we must tackle it with renewed vigour. And, especially in these difficult times, entrepreneurs and businesses need our help. We must ensure we are not tying them up in restrictive red tape.

So today we are taking an unprecedented step. Based on the belief that it is people, not policymakers, who know best, we are asking the people of Britain to tell us how you want to see your freedom restored.

We are calling for your ideas on how to protect our hard won liberties and repeal unnecessary laws. And we want to know how best to scale back excessive regulation that denies businesses the space to innovate. We’re hoping for virtual mailbags full of suggestions. Every single one will be read, with the best put to Parliament.

It is a radically different approach. One based on trust. Because it isn’t up to government to tell people how to live their lives. Our job is to empower people, giving you the freedom and support to thrive. That belief is right at the heart of this Coalition. And both coalition parties recognise that Whitehall doesn’t have a monopoly on the best ideas.

So, finally, after years in the wilderness, freedom is back in fashion. This is our chance to redraw the boundaries between citizen and state. It’s your chance to have your say.”

Amen to that Thomas Jefferson…..Oh, that is Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats in Great Britain that wrote that?  Sure sounds like Thomas Jefferson to us here at Mad As Hell And…!

This is very simple:  As America is descending into more control of the American People by governments on all levels and here we have a leader in Great Britain that is working to pull back their former great country from the “1984” that their country has become.  Don’t believe that?  Just visit London which is “1984” on steroids and a miserable place where one’s every movement is tracked by video cameras with the Idiots sitting “On High” watching everyone and thus destroying the freedom that Great Britain used to stand for around the world.

No, Nick Clegg is not Winston Churchill, but this is one Hellava start Mr. Clegg.  One Hellava start and ironically coming on the Weekend when Americans Celebrate our Declaration of Independence and the Freedoms that our Elected Buffoons in Government seem to have forgotten and care little about anymore.  Our Government Leaders just want more control of the American People’s lives and more of our hard earned money while they let the Wall Street Bastards and companies like BP run wild in the country.  Yes, that approach is working out really well!

The Scariest Jobs Chart Ever – Educational Achievement and Unemployment in America – Jobs That Americans Are Ready and Willing to do Have Left America and Will Never Be Back – What Can Be Done to Help Private Business, Not Government, Create New Jobs in America? – Lots Can Be Done, But Don’t Count on the Buffoons in Sacramento and Washington DC to Understand or Give a Damn About Anything That Could Really Get Our Economy Moving Again – Are We the Rome of the 21st Century? – Absolutely, With the Buffoons in Power in Washington DC and Wall Street To Prove It!

By far the most fascinating economics chart relative to the current Great Recession is the Scariest Jobs Chart Ever by Calculated Risk.

This chart:  “…shows the job losses from the start of the employment recession, in percentage terms (as opposed to the number of jobs lost).

The dotted line is ex-Census hiring. The two lines will rejoin later this year when the Census hiring is unwound.

For the current employment recession, employment peaked in December 2007, and this recession is by far the worst recession since WWII in percentage terms, and 2nd worst in terms of the unemployment rate (only early ’80s recession with a peak of 10.8 percent was worse).”

The most stunning thing about the above chart is how each recession in the United States since World War II had gotten worse relative to job creation and the obvious conclusion is that as more manufacturing and assembly jobs have left the country to countries overseas there have just been a lot less jobs for Americans that do not have college degrees.

If you don’t believe that just look at the Department of Labor’s Employment Statistics for June 2010 and how Educational Attainment dramatically impacts your chances to be employed or not:

Education Level – Unemployment Rate

Less than a high school diploma – 14.1 %

High school graduate – 10.8 %

Some college or associate degree – 8.2 %

Bachelor’s degree or higher – 4.4 %

The above Educational Level – Unemployment Rates are just stunning, especially when one realizes that that only about 30 percent of Americans have earned a bachelor’s degree as of 2010.  That means that the vast majority of Americans are dealing with an economy that will have very high unemployment rates for years to come, because jobs that can be outsourced to countries with cheaper labor rates will continue to leave the U.S. and jobs that require a high-level of education or “thinking” skills will have the upper-hand going forward in America.

The really sad part about unemployment in the United States is that very little can be done about creating more jobs for Americans that have not earned college degrees without entire new industries being created that can support $15 dollar an hour plus jobs.  The jobs that pay less $15 dollars an hour that have left the United States are gone forever and no doubt millions of new jobs will be created all over the world in the coming decades that the United States and thus Americans will have no shot at.

What to do then to get PRIVATE BUSINESS, not GOVERNMENT to start creating jobs in America again?  Well, for starters state governments like California, New Jersey, Illinois and New York can end their all-out war on business, entrepreneurs and capital which only drives the job and wealth creators to other states and often overseas.  Second, the United States Federal Government can end the madness that is the US Income Tax Code which is easily the greatest job killer in the history of the planet.  Third, along with the simplification of the US Income Tax Code a reduction in taxes on business, capital and wealth creation would be in order, but we here at Mad As Hell And… are not holding our breath on any of the above things because the Buffoons driving this train in places like Sacramento, California and Washington DC not only don’t have a clue to how businesses creates jobs and thus wealth in America, these folks are dead set on punishing any one that decides he or she is going to make something of their life and for their families.

Very simply, the United States of America is the Roman Empire of the 21 st Century with the Buffoons in Power (Remember the old maxim:  Those that can run businesses do, those that can’t go into government?  We have that in spades in the United States with the lackeys we have going into “public service” today in America) and hard working Americans that are trying to do things to make their lives and the country better are getting hit on all sides while the Idiots “On High” laugh at the unwashed masses!  Oh, you folks are very STUPID!

Yes, this all makes sense, if your goal is to destroy the Greatest Country in the History of the Planet, not that the folks in Washington DC know the difference between up and down, forget about how to run a Republic!
