The Madness that is the City of Bell, California may be heading towards a resolution, but don’t think the taxpayers of California won’t be stuck with the bill for the foolishness in this small Southern California city for decades to come!

After it was reported by the Los Angeles Times earlier this week that the city manager of Bell was making almost $800,000 a year the residents of Bell, California have been up in arms and we say…

GOOD FOR THEM!

 

It’s about time the folks in Bell, California and the rest of America got royally pissed off at these Buffoons on all levels of government that are stealing the American People Blind!

Bell council seeks resignations of 3 city officials

“Bell City Council members are seeking the resignations of the city manager and two other top officials amid growing public outcry over salaries that appear to be among the highest in the nation, according to three sources close to the discussions.

The embattled council directed its attorney to immediately begin negotiating with the three.

At a closed-door meeting Monday night, as hundreds of residents protested outside, council members also discussed reducing their own pay. Most of them make $100,000 a year.”

City council members making $100K a year?  OUTRAGEOUS!

The LA Times continues…

“Resigning would make City Manager Robert Rizzo, Police Chief Randy Adams and Assistant City Manager Angela Spaccia eligible for lucrative pensions. But the three also have contracts that protect them from being fired without cause.

As a result, unless they agree to resign, the city would face the prospect of buying out their contracts, which could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in additional payments.

None of the three officials could be reached for comment Tuesday.

Rizzo earns nearly $800,000 a year, making him the highest paid city manager in California and possibly the nation. Adams makes $457,000 — 50% more the Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck — and Spaccia makes $376,288, more than the top administrator for Los Angeles County.

The salaries, revealed by The Times last week, sparked protests in the small, predominantly working-class town southeast of downtown Los Angeles.

The sources, who spoke to The Times on the condition that they not be named because of personnel rules, said attorneys for the city are in talks with attorneys for the three administrators.”

Oh, that’s just great!  All three of these clowns that have been ripping off the people of Bell, California for years are “eligible for lucrative pensions!”

Yes, California is the Bizarro-Land with Bell, California being “Let’s rip off the poor Latinos because we can” Bizarro-community!  OUTRAGEOUS!

Read these lines from the LA Times story and get ready to be really pissed off!

“Some activists have called for an outside investigation or audit of the city’s salaries. At least one council member said he was unaware of the pay levels for senior administrators until he read about them in The Times.

Rizzo’s salary has grown steadily over the years, once going up 49% in a single year. His current contract calls for 12% pay hikes every July.”

What?  49 percent pay raise in one year!  12 percent pay hikes every July?

Can you say that these Clowns in Bell should not only be fired but by all rights should be throw in jail for stealing from the citizens of Bell, California and from the People of California because these Buffoons are going to be “eligible” for pensions worth hundreds of thousands annually each for years to come? (Check out the CalPERS $100,000 Plus former state workers list that are hauling down big bucks in retirement!)  Why, yes we can say that and that is what would HAPPEN if Government actually Gave a Damn about the people it was supposed to be serving!

Yes, these Bastards should be fired and throw out on their ears, but like everything else in California when it comes to “Government Work” it is the Government Workers STICKING IT TO the People of California and laughing all the way to the bank as they do it…with the unions laughing right along with them at the boobs in the public that allow all this BS to go on!

Oh, you think this is an isolated story on Government Workers stealing from The People?  Please, local news stations in California do stories all the time on the amount of money that is flat-out being stolen from the People of California by workers not doing their jobs and here is a recent story by CBS TV 2 in Los Angeles on that very subject:

New York Times columnist David Brooks believes that because both the Republican and Democrat parties have grown government exponentially in the past decade that the American People are thus pissed very off…..

Well…..DUH!

 

At least Brooks has identifies one of the great problems in America today….

The Technocracy Boom

“When historians look back on this period, they will see it as another progressive era. It is not a liberal era — when government intervenes to seize wealth and power and distribute it to the have-nots. It’s not a conservative era, when the governing class concedes that the world is too complicated to be managed from the center. It’s a progressive era, based on the faith in government experts and their ability to use social science analysis to manage complex systems.

This progressive era is being promulgated without much popular support. It’s being led by a large class of educated professionals, who have been trained to do technocratic analysis, who believe that more analysis and rule-writing is the solution to social breakdowns, and who have constructed ever-expanding networks of offices, schools and contracts.”

Can’t say we disagree with any of the above, but here is the Real Kicker with the “large class of educated professionals” that are greatly expanding the size and scope of government on all levels in the United States:

Very few of them have ever held a job in the REAL WORLD during their entire lives!

From President Obama, to Ben Bernanke, to Harry Reid, to Mitch McConnell, to Nancy Pelosi, to Joe Biden, and on and on of the vast majority of the political elite that are now sitting at the top levels of government in both elected and appointed positions are people that have never worked a day in their lives in the private sector and often have never held any kind of managerial jobs in the Real World where they would help to run a division or business based up the reality that if a profit is not made the business goes….OUT OF BUSIENSS!  Forget about someone that has actually started and run a successful business that has grown and had to operate in the ever increasingly difficult regulatory and tax structure that these Buffoons in Washington DC keep piling on the Real Wealth Creators in our country.  Hell, it’s not surprising to us that the “Political Elites” in Washington and Sacramento don’t understand how their Idiotic actions negatively affect The People that they are supposed to working for and serving, because very few of these clowns have ever held any kind of job in the Real World!  Just keep piling the Crapola on, it won’t hurt anyone! 

Memo to the “Technocracy Class”:  You are Utter Morons and it is you that are the Great Destroyers of the American Republic because you have no idea how the American Republic actually works!

How appropriate that with the rise of the “Technocracy Class” as David Brooks calls them, but we here at Mad As Hell And… call them “Do Not Have A Clue to How the Real World Works Class,” that the United States of America has been set on an unsustainable path, driven largely by the desire of this “Technocracy Class” to gain and hold onto power.  You see, when one want to gain or hold political power in the United States one doesn’t think of ways to “serve” The People and the Country, but rather they try to think of ways to give things away to people so that people will be happy and vote for them again and also to “serve” the Bastards that stuffed their pockets with $$$$$$$ so you could get into “Elective Office” in the first place!  The said part is that many in “public service” will tell you there went into politics to “Serve the People” but the Real Truth is that most of these people driving the train in America today have massive egos that need to be stroked and they have a strange love of having power over other people, but not so that anyone can have power over them.  Yes, we are talking Massive Hypocrites here, which makes the Congress exempting itself from 99.9 percent of the laws it passes make just perfect sense, because the “Political Elite” in the United States not only think that they are better than YOU and ME, they believe they should not have to live with or have to deal with the very laws that they pass.  If these Bastards that hold high political office in America are starting to sound like some of the most selfish SOBs on the planet, then you would have accurately identified about 99.9 percent of our “Leaders” in Washington DC.

Let’s face facts:  Here is what the “Technocracy Class” of both political parties have wrought and put onto the backs of our children and grandchildren:  US National Debt Clock

 

Yes, these are Real Men and Women of Genius that have ascended to the highest corridors of power in the United States, but watching all of these overeducated Ivy League clowns operate in recent decades has only confirmed what all of us here at Mad As Hell And… have known for a long time.  Going to an Ivy League school may mean that you are intelligent, but it certainly doesn’t mean that you have a lick of common sense, and the vast majority of the people that go into “public service” today, often because they could never cut in the Real World, do not have…

A LICK OF COMMON SENSE….

Because often they have never worked a day in their lives in the Real World!

We would include New York Times columnist David Brooks in that group, because he also has not worked a day in his adult life in anything remotely like what the vast majority of Americans have to deal with on a daily basis and thus there is not a chance in Hell he would really understand anything beyond New York, Washington DC and other spots where the elite meet, Aspen, Martha’s Vineyard, etc….  David Brooks is a “serious guy” as he likes to say about “public servants” that he admires, but he suffers from the same problem that most of the other Clueless folks in Washington DC do today:  On the best day of their lives they wouldn’t be able to run an ice cream shop. 

 

Yes, they can debate the finer points of Iraq, Afghanistan, Nuclear Deterrence, the budget, the deficit or Bullshit, but they haven’t a clue what those things are Really like in the Real World because they live in a world of ideas rather than real action and experience. 

You see, being able to run Printing Press nonstop with no worry about turning a profit or evening giving a Damn about the bills that are being piled up is not the Real World and that is the essential difference between the Fantasyland of the “Political Elite” in Washington and New York and the American People.

David Brooks finishes up his column by saying…

“Already this effort is generating a fierce, almost culture-war-style backlash. It is generating a backlash among people who do not have faith in Washington, who do not have faith that trained experts have superior abilities to organize society, who do not believe national rules can successfully contend with the intricacies of local contexts and cultures.

This progressive era amounts to a high-stakes test. If the country remains safe and the health care and financial reforms work, then we will have witnessed a life-altering event. We’ll have received powerful evidence that central regulations can successfully organize fast-moving information-age societies.

If the reforms fail — if they kick off devastating unintended consequences or saddle the country with a maze of sclerotic regulations — then the popular backlash will be ferocious. Large sectors of the population will feel as if they were subjected to a doomed experiment they did not consent to. They will feel as if their country has been hijacked by a self-serving professional class mostly interested in providing for themselves.

If that backlash gains strength, well, what’s the 21st-century version of the guillotine?”

David, the “the 21st-century version of the guillotine” is the sweeping out of power of the Morons, Buffoons and Idiots that have come to dominate American government and putting into place an Administration and Congress that will actually work for The People of the American Republic.  That new government with ownership of the White House and thus US Justice Department will then investigate the Hell out of all of these Buffoons and their Masters in Corporate America, Wall Street and in the Unions and how those two groups, the “Elected Officials” and “Private Interests,” have worked together to STICK IT TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!

Let’s just say that if you have held “Elective Office” in the last couple of decades in the United States we would recommend keeping the name of a good attorney in the Rolodex because it is our belief that Federal Grand Juries made up of American citizens when presented with some of the Absolute Nonsense and Facts that have gone on in America in recent years will not be a very happy group of Americans.

The greatest fear of the Political Elites is that the American People might actually learn what these Bastards have really been up to in recent years and what a disastrous course they have set for our country and for our children and grandchildren.  If the American People put someone in the White House that is not a member of either political party, then it will be Katie Bar the Door and you better get a Damn Good attorney time in Washington DC, because the America People will be…
